The µFlashTCP single board computer packs an embedded x86 microcomputer with Ethernet onto a board slightly larger than a credit card. This SBC is an ideal platform for bridging existing equipment to Ethernet networks or performing as an embedded web server.

The powerful Intel 386Ex microprocessor, NE2000 compatible Ethernet, and DOS operating system allow design and debugging in a familiar environment. PC compatible serial ports counter/timers, and interrupt controller are fully compatible with the IBM PC at both the hardware and software levels - making integration a snap.

With additional features such as the watchdog timer, RS-485 serial port capability, and aggressive pricing, the µFlashTCP single board controller is suitable for many embedded designs.

An extensive array of integrated peripherals for the µFlashTCP include the µI/O µFlashTCP µIO 110V Dev Kit (99-0031), peripheral board, which adds (4) 12-bit A/D inputs, (2) D/A outputs, 4 high-current output drivers and 8 more digital inputs for flexibility in data acquisition and control applications. Using the 32 Pin DIP socket, a battery backed clock calendar (part #20-0074) or an M-Systems DiskOnChip can be added.

The µFlashTCP Development Kit (99-0029) includes a µFlashTCP controller, Programming Cable, Connector Kit, Ethernet Cables, 110 VAC Adapter, Setup Guide, Schematic and CD with Borland C/C++ V4.52 Compiler, utilities, sample programs and documentation.

Also included is the TCP/IP stack and web server (including source code), and PPP software that can be compiled with the Borland C/C++ package. A prototyping kit (part #99-0068) is also available for convenient development of hardware peripherals.

The µFlashTCP controller is capable of running µC/OS-II, The Real-Time Kernel. This RTOS is a multitasking kernel for microprocessors and microcontrollers.
